This Natomas Park house had gone 12 years without any ductwork attention. The return vents carried a gray, fuzzy coating that had slowly built up from a long-haired retriever and Sacramento’s summer dust. We ran our Rotobrush system through all 14 runs, then wiped down and vacuumed every register. The result was a system moving air freely again, with no more dust settling on the TV stand two days after cleaning.

Supply Duct Restoration After a Powderpost Beetle Season in East Sacramento

East Sacramento has enough mature trees that wood-dwelling insects are part of life. This 1940s home had a crawlspace where beetles had worked through an old joist, and the fine frass had been pulled into the supply side of the system. We sealed off each register, used the Nikro vacuum to pull the buildup out of the trunk line, and cleaned the boots by hand. The homeowner said the stale smell near the vents was gone the same evening.

Pet Hair and Litter Dust Removal in a Land Park Rental

Two cats and a German shepherd lived in this Land Park rental, and the tenant was starting to sneeze at night. The return plenum held a felt-like layer of hair that had wrapped around the dampers. We used our Abatement Technologies HEPA-filtered vacuum to pull the hair out of the main lines, then cleaned each vent cover and the filter housing. The tenant’s nightly sneezing stopped within a week, and the owner now includes duct cleaning between long-term tenants.

This Rancho Cordova condo had a dryer taking three cycles to finish a load of towels. The vent line ran up and out through the attic, and the last eight feet were packed tight with hardened lint. We cleaned the entire run with the Guardsman rotary brush, then used our camera to confirm zero blockages at the roof cap. Dry time dropped back to one cycle, and the laundry closet stopped feeling damp.

The previous owner of this Curtis Park bungalow had used a wood stove more than the fireplace was built for, and the ductwork held a thin, oily film that carried a campfire smell into every room. We cleaned the main trunk and all branch lines, then used an Aprilaire air treatment during the final pass. The stale smoke odor faded noticeably within a couple of days, and the new owners stopped noticing it entirely after a week.

A kitchen remodel in Elmhurst had run for six weeks with the HVAC system cycling the whole time. Drywall dust had coated every duct surface from the return grates to the farthest bedroom vent. We cleaned the full system, including the inside of the air handler cabinet and the return drop, then changed the filter to a Honeywell media filter. The family noticed the difference in the nursery first, where the changing table was no longer gathering dust by late afternoon.
